Celebrate the highlights from our Cultural Carnival! From trying their hand at ancient Oracle Bone Writing and Origami to taking aim in Archery and playing traditional Five Stones, our young adventurers jumped into every activity with full enthusiasm!
Our young leaders enjoyed an outdoor 3R lesson with a cheerful “Planet Hero.” The children learned about reducing, reusing, and recycling, sorted items with 100% accuracy, and wrapped up the morning with a vegetarian BBQ, playground fun, and feeding the ducks!
We concluded 2025’s Mandarin and Cultural Adventure with festive fun! The children practised Chinese strokes and Pinyin combinations. They also learned about gratitude after watching a short scene of “The Blind Man,” before creating colourful Christmas baubles to take home!
In September, the children celebrated the Moon Festival with stories of Hou Yi and Chang’E, learned about mooncakes, and made their own! They also crafted colourful lanterns, while continuing to practise Chinese character strokes and Hanyu Pinyin. A magical mix of language, legend, and tradition!
Another brilliant session with our Mandarin and Cultural Adventure Group! This month, we revisited basic Chinese strokes and learned the Hanyu Pinyin sound “T”. The children listened to the touching story of Min Ziqian and finished the day by crafting their own beautiful pinwheels.
In July’s session, the children practised reading and writing, played a fun matching game, learned the rhyme “Little White Rabbit,” and hopped with joy! They also discovered Oracle Bone Script, gaining a glimpse into the ancient roots of Chinese writing. A playful and thoughtful cultural adventure!
